Big Boy

Conner told me yesterday at the store that he was "growing big". Then he said that he was going to be a "big boy like Mommy"! Then today in the car I was telling Judd that story. I turned to Conner in the backseat and asked if he was going to be a big boy like Daddy. Conner said, "No, I'm going to be a big boy like Mommy." Crazy kid!

Great Sunday!

Some days I want to lock them up and hide!

My poor kiddos have been so tired this week. We are back on a schedule. They have been having a tough time. This has caused some grumpiness and nastiness. It seems like every Saturday this month has been filled with tears and screaming.

Yesterday was okay, but today has been great. We got up and went to church. Conner went into his Sunday school room WITHOUT CRYING! This is a big deal! We dropped him off and he was smiling and gave us hugs and kisses and didn't look back. Judd and I literally RAN outta there for fear he would change his mind. After church, we had lunch with the family and the kids did great. They ate lunch and they were pleasant and cute! Judd and I were able to eat and not be overwhelmed with the kids acting like stinkers.

Now it is quiet in the house. Belyn and Judd are napping. Conner is having quiet time in his room with his trains. I am sitting here and just glowing from the day so far. Ahhhhhhhh....

Silly Kids!

Funny Conner Story

Tonight I was getting a glass of water from the dispenser. Conner told me he wanted to get it for me, so I let him. He took the cup and filled it about 1/4 full of water. Then he said to me, "You only get a little 'wawer'." I asked him why. He replied, "You only get a little so you won't pee pee in your pants." Isn't he SO thoughtful?

Funny story:

I was changing clothes last week and Belyn was there in the room with me. She looked at my stomach and had a concerned look on her face. She said, "What's going on? What's going on with your tummy?" I guess she doesn't have stretch marks!!

Tough Day!

Poor Conner had a really tough day. He has been to school everyday this week and we are back to work. I know the poor little guy is so tired. Regardless, he woke up this Saturday morning with a smile on his face and told me that the sun was up and it was time to wake up and he wanted to eat. So, I staggered out of bed and fed him and then laid on the couch. A few brief moments go by and little miss priss was up. That is when the day really started. From the moment she showed her sweet little face in the living room, Conner was out to get her all day. Every toy she had, he wanted. He didn't want her in his room, so he slammed the door in her face. He took things from her and ran. Belyn was screaming. I really had to spank today. We really haven't had to spank much lately, but today Conner was in some kind of funky mood.

This evening I had to spank him (after having had several during the day) and he just cried and told me, "Mommy you broke my heart!" It took me by surprise. He repeated it several times to me. I told him that he broke my heart too when he chose to be ugly to me and Belyn. Eventually he stopped crying and went to the table to eat. He was in a better mood and he said to me, "Mommy! My heart is fixed! It's not broke anymore!" I told him that was great. Then he said, "Mommy, Jesus lives in my heart. He eats with me." I said that was wonderful and what else does Jesus do with him. He told me, "Jesus plays with me."

Well, then MY heart melted!

Boy Genius!

Conner's new thing is Legos. He plays with them all the time. He will go to his room and play with them quietly. Well tonight, I come home from running an errand and this is what I see on his little table. I thought that Judd and Conner worked on these airplanes together. Judd said that he came out with one airplane first and said that he wanted to make four. "One for Daddy, one for Mommy, one for Belyn, and one for Conner." And that is what he did! He went back to his room and made three more. He had no picture, no help, no previous airplane building. We were floored and totally impressed. Aren't you? I know that I would need a picture to look at and then still have trouble!!
